Chief Executive Officer
Andrew Martin has over 17 years of institutional investment management experience, working for large global insurance companies and asset managers managing multi-billion dollar portfolios. He has developed, structured, and successfully launched several multi-billion dollar funds and investment structures. He began his career as a business consultant with Accenture, working in the energy and financial sectors. Andrew graduated with a B.Sc. in Theoretical Physics from the University of York and gained a doctorate in Astrophysics from the University of Oxford.
Chief Operating Officer
Michael Saunders has over 20 years international experience in investment banks. Prior to Fairlight Capital he worked in the fields of Equity Finance, Prime Brokerage and Equity Derivatives. He has managed sales and trading teams in both London, Hong Kong, and Paris for banks including Citigroup, Chase Manhattan, and Societe Generale. At Citigroup, as the Head of Swaps and Synthetic Prime Brokerage, Michael was responsible for the creation and roll out of the international synthetic prime brokerage business and has gained considerable experience working with hedge funds. While in Hong Kong he managed both the Hang Seng Index options and arbitrage books. Michael graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a BA in Finance and Accounting.
Chief Marketing Officer
Carlo Weis has over 30 years experience in financial services. He has had an international career in the US and Europe. Carlo is multilingual, speaking fluent French, German, Luxembourgish, and English. He has held managerial positions at Kredietbank in both Paris and Luxembourg and is a BBA graduate of Ecole DELIL - International Management Institute, Brussels, and has a degree in Communication and Journalism from the Unversité Libre de Bruxelles. Prior to joining Fairlight he founded Innovative Merchant Funding a Fintech specializing in business funding and cash advances, and was the COO at Lendrix a finance company providing financing to SMEs using a variety of financial products.
